What is the Leaky Homes Roadshow?
Energy Champions from Energy Action Redhill and Reigate will be visiting homes across East Surrey, conducting energy efficiency surveys. We are the local delivery organisation in Reigate and Banstead for the Surrey-wide HEAT project.

-
In Winter, weather permitting, we take thermal images of your home - showing where heat is leaking
-
We run through some questions about your heating and insulation so we can offer tailored advice
-
After the survey you receive a written report about ways you can improve the energy efficiency and comfort of your home and potentially save on bills
-
Where suitable, we can signpost you to free/subsidised loft insulation or other funding schemes to help with larger energy efficiency measures such as wall insulation

Please note we have now stopped taking bookings for Winter 24/25. Thermal surveys will start again around November 2025. You can register below for priority booking.
How much does it cost?
The survey is free of charge to all eligible households.

This has been thanks to funding from the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator project run by Surrey County Council, in partnership with the Greater South East Energy Hub.
How do I take part?Â
Click on the "Register Interest" button to register your interest. We will contact you in October 2025 to let you know when bookings re-open.

The survey will take around 45 minutes. We will provide some advice during the visit and we aim to follow up within two weeks with a written report plus delivery of any free energy efficiency materials that are suggested.

Save money
Cut your energy bills by using energy more efficiently. We can show you where heat is escaping and how to reduce this, as well as other cost effective ways to reduce your energy use.

Stay Warm
Keep the heat inside your home by improving insulation and reducing draughts. We can provide access to loft insulation and energy efficiency "smart packs" to create an energy efficient and cosy home.

Go green
By reducing your energy use you will also be reducing your carbon footprint - as most energy is still created using fossil fuels. Good for you and good for the planet!
