about
Energy Action Redhill and Reigate was formed in 2021 by a group of residents with a shared interest in reducing the carbon footprint of local buildings. We formally registered with the Financial Conduct Authority as a non-profit Community Benefit Society in January 2022.

We aim to benefit our community by promoting energy efficiency:
-
to help residents keep their homes warm and their bills low
-
to make local buildings more sustainable

Any surpluses are reinvested to meet these aims or are distributed for community benefit in and around the Borough of Reigate and Banstead.

Partnerships
Our work is featured on the Reigate & Banstead Borough Council website on their My Sustainable Home page. We also work closely with the established environmental group Zero Carbon Guildford as a local delivery partner for the Surrey-wide Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) programme.

Funding

The HEAT programme is funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme until May 2027. Our work in Tandridge is partly funded by a grant from the Bryn Siriol Fund, received via the Community Foundation for Surrey. We also have a 2025/26 strategic grant from Reigate & Banstead Borough Council. Many thanks to all our funders, without whom our services would not be possible.
All our energy surveys and talks are offered free of charge, however we welcome any voluntary donations.

Our Team
Energy Action Redhill and Reigate is run by a board of voluntary trustees. Our services are delivered via a team of project staff and energy champions.
