Welcome
Energy Action Redhill and Reigate is working in partnership with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council on a neighbourhood approach - known as "Cosy Street". Our aim is to help residents keep warm and reduce their bills. By working with a group of similar homes together, we believe residents will be able to share ideas and access more resources.
Our first "Cosy Street" neighbourhood is Priory Road, Eastnor Road and Allingham Road in South Park, Reigate. The project will run until March 2027.

Leaky Homes
57% of homes in Cosy Street have an Energy Performance Certificate of D or below
(and 27% have no certificate).
Older Homes
Many of the homes were built pre 1900 and share common characteristics and challenges.
Right Size
There are around 200 homes in the initial Cosy Street area. We think this is the ideal size to allow greater support.

There are a range of homes: terraced, detached, semi-detached, flats and bungalows, rented and owner occupied.

Home Energy Survey (back Nov 26)
Using thermal imaging (until 31 March) and a tailored survey we will discuss ways to keep your home warm, in line with your priorities. We will also explore what additional support your household could be eligible for.

Loft insulation
Topping up your loft insulation is one of the best ways to reduce heat loss from your home. We can provide free rolls of insulation and guidance on how to install it.

Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
An EPC is the recognised certificate showing the energy efficiency of your home. All homes require a valid EPC when they are being sold or rented. A free EPC is available for up to 5 Cosy Street households.

A free pack of small measures to help improve the energy efficiency of your home. We can provide tailored smart packs, following your home survey or after a home energy call.

Government funding is available to help with improving insulation and heating systems. We can advise on eligibility guidelines and how to apply.
