BBC Surrey has published an article highlighting the work of the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) project, of which Energy Action Redhill and Reigate is a part.

There are now over 50 Energy Champions trained to carry our home energy surveys in Surrey. Of these, 12 are based in Redhill and Reigate - a hot spot for survey activity. Our Energy Champions are delivering surveys and providing access to loft insulation and smart packs across East Surrey.

The LEAD project is one of seven pilot projects across the South East of England all trying out new ways of delivering home energy advice. The projects are funded by The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. In Surrey, the County Council is working with community groups, including Zero Carbon Guildford and Energy Action Redhill and Reigate, to deliver advice through home energy surveys. In Spring this will be supplemented by a one-stop shop retrofit service, hosted by Surrey County Council. Watch this space for more details.
